LittleOak vs Jovie: Which Goat Formula Is Better?
They are closer than they look. Both use whole goat milk, both use lactose as the only carbohydrate, both add GOS and both include DHA and ARA in Stages 1 and 2. The differences are the fats, the certification and the price.
LittleOak builds its fat blend around pressed olive oil, with coconut, flaxseed and sunflower oil, and takes its DHA from algae. Jovie keeps to organic sunflower and rapeseed oil and takes its DHA from fish oil. Jovie is EU organic certified. LittleOak is not certified organic. LittleOak is also the cheaper of the two at about $2.03 an ounce against about $2.25 for Jovie.
Pick LittleOak if you want the cleanest manufacturing process and healthiest olive oil blend, and a plant source of DHA. Pick Jovie if EU organic certification matters most to you.

Jovie vs Holle Goat: What Is the Difference?
Jovie and Holle Goat look alike on paper, both are EU organic, both use whole goat milk with organic sunflower and rapeseed oil, and neither uses palm oil. Three things separate them.
- Carbohydrates after 6 months. Jovie stays lactose only in every stage. Holle Goat Stages 2 and 3 add maltodextrin and starch, while Holle Goat PRE and Stage 1 are lactose only.
- Prebiotics and ARA. Jovie adds organic GOS and ARA. Holle Goat's ingredient lists show neither.
- Box size. Holle Goat comes in a 400g box for $31.99 as well as an 800g size, which makes it the cheapest way to trial whether your baby likes goat milk. Jovie comes in 800g only.

Is Jovie Formula Good?
Yes, Jovie Goat is EU organic, made in the Netherlands from whole goat milk, uses lactose as its only carbohydrate, and has no palm oil, maltodextrin or soy. Stages 1 and 2 include both DHA and ARA. The one thing to know if you avoid fish is that its DHA is derived from fish oil, whereas LittleOak and Holle Goat use algae.
