Based in Hermosa Beach, California, we started our journey to help parents like you find organic, trustworthy formulas with the healthiest ingredients for their little ones.
With four warehouses, in The Netherlands, in Brisbane & Melbourne, Australia, and here in Los Angeles, we source, manage, and oversee every step of the process, from manufacturer to doorstep, ensuring freshness, quality, and safety. Grow Organic Baby was started in 2016 by Rodney Hyde, a dad who went looking for better formula for his own kids and couldn't find it. Ten years later he has evaluated dozens of organic and plant-based formulas across four countries and helped ship more than 60,000 orders to families across the US. Meet Rodney →
What we carry
We stock organic formula from six brands, chosen because we can verify where every batch comes from and because we can keep them in stock.
- Cow milk: HiPP, across the German, Dutch and Hypoallergenic ranges, and Holle, including Holle A2.
- Goat milk: Holle Goat, Jovie, Nannycare and LittleOak.
- Plant-based: Sprout Organic, the first vegan-certified infant formula. We are the leading US seller of Sprout.
Why it matters that we import it ourselves
Most sellers of European formula buy from a middleman. We do not. Our sourcing company is incorporated in Europe, which lets us buy from the manufacturers directly and know the provenance of every tin we ship.
Our European warehouse sits less than 100 miles from the source. Stock arrives on a two hour transit, is held climate controlled, and is turned over weekly. Our Australian warehouses do the same for Sprout and LittleOak. Your formula is shipped once, warehouse to your door. Nothing waits in a third-party consolidation point and nothing crosses an ocean twice.
We prepay every US import duty, tax and tariff before your order leaves, so there is no customs bill at the door and no order held at the border. Our Los Angeles warehouse is small and local, which is how we cover emergencies and local collection, and it is why returns are handled domestically: 30 days from dispatch, unopened, refunded within two days of arrival. If you are switching brands, moving up a stage or working through a sensitivity, tell us what is going on and we will tell you honestly what we would try, including when the answer is a formula we do not sell.
