Is the formula changing?

It is exactly the same recipe, same organic certification, same plant-based nutrition, same company and not one single ingredient has been added, removed, or altered.

Only the can size and brand name have changed.

What is different about the new can?

There are two changes. It now weighs 28oz/800g instead of 25oz/700g and the branding is now Berdie Organic instead of Sprout Organic.

Why does it say Berdie now?

To avoid copywriting or trademark infringements the brand in North America has changed to Berdie Organic. The branding Sprout Organic is being retained for the rest of the world, however as there is already a much larger kids nutrition brand using a similar name to "Sprout" in the US/Canada market, the brand name has changed to avoid confusion.

The formula itself is still called Sprout Infant Formula, just a different brand name.

Does it cost more per ounce?

It costs less per ounce. The larger can is $1.28 per ounce, down from $1.34 per ounce.

Does it change the shipping cost?

It remains the same as the additional weight of the can does not put us in the next shipping weight threshold, so it is more efficient to ship this size can. The can has more formula for the same shipping cost, which further reduces the price per ounce.

Do I prepare it the same way?

Yes. The ratio is unchanged. Full instructions can be found in the Preparation section on the back of the can, or on the product page of this website. Please use the scoop provided in the can.

Sprout Toddler Drink is an organic, vegan, milk free formula that is intolerance-friendly and free from common allergens such as dairy, lactose and soy. It is produced in Australia.

It is a 100% plant-based formula, prepared using organic rice protein and organic pea protein. It contains coconut oil and plant-based probiotics for healthy tummies. It is suitable for 12+ months of age.

The mixing ratio is 4 scoops to 200ml (six and two thirds oz) of water.

As your baby becomes more and more exposed to the wonderful world of solid foods, the topic of intolerances and allergies becomes an increasing concern.

It is an organic certified, 100% plant based formula that contains no animal product or by-product.

It is a lactose-free, certified vegan formula based on pea and rice protein. Organic ingredients contain all of your babies’ nutritional requirements, including DHA, proteins, vitamins, minerals (including calcium), probiotics and essential amino acids, all from plant sources.

It is suitable for babies experiencing difficulties digesting animal proteins and for vegan babies. The nutrient content is identical to regular infant milk based on cow's or goat's milk protein.

Vegan formulas taste different to milk based formula and may have a slightly bitter taste, which is common for Vegan formulas. As this is a specialty formula, we do not offer refunds or exchanges if your little one refuses to drink it.

Ratio of Formula to Water

The mixing ratio is 4 scoops to 200ml (six and two thirds oz) of water. One unpacked scoop of formula (using the scoop provided in every can of formula) is 8.7g/0.307 oz. 

Optimal mixing temperature - Important to follow

The ideal water temperature for mixing rice-based formula is 122F – 158 F (50-70 degrees Celsius), this will help the formula completely dissolve. Shaking the bottle for a few extra seconds before serving will also help to dissolve it more effectively. The warm water mixing temperature is important due to the different texture of rice-based formula compared to dairy based formula.

Formula Preparation Instructions

1. Clean everything (bottle, teat and ring) in boiling water for 3 - 5 minutes
2. Boil new clean water using the volumes in the feeding tables below. Do not use microwaved, artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water
3. Cool to optimal mixing temperature: 122 F – 158 F / 50 C – 70 C
4. Fill 2/3 of the bottle with the clean boiled water
5. Using the measuring spoon provided and according to the instructions, add the correct number of scoops
6. Level off with the back of a clean dry knife. Do not compress the powder
7. Close the bottle
8. Shake well until dissolved (more than 15 seconds). A small foam layer should disappear by itself after a short time
9. Add remaining water and shake lightly again until solution is evenly distributed and diluted
10. Hold the bottle under cold running water. Cool to drinking temperature: 98.6 F / 37 C
11. Always test the temperature
12. Ready to feed!

Can I prepare the formula without boiling the water?

While many parents do not boil the water they are preparing the formula with, it is advised to do so as it can eliminate bacteria.

Care Instructions

• Store formula powder in a cool, dry place. Do not refrigerate
• Keep airtight and use within 3 weeks
• Do not add extra scoops of powder or mix with anything else (such as regular cow milk)
• If left sitting at room temperature, you should use a bottle of prepared formula within 1 hour
• If refrigerated, a prepared bottle of formula should be used within 2-12 hours
• Expiration date is indicated on each can in the format Day/Month/Year

We do not dispatch 7 days a week and have a daily 3pm Pacific shipping cut-off, so the transit time estimates are from when the order is shipped, not when it was placed. Orders placed after cutoff or over the weekend will be dispatched on the next business day.

There are no deliveries on Sundays and holidays. Estimated transit times are for metro areas of major cities and may differ for regional and remote locations.

All shipping times are estimates only, and we recommend adding a conservative buffer to these estimates to mitigate unforeseen circumstances that may cause delays in the delivery of your formula.

International Express Mail Service (EMS) and International Standard Mail Service (SMS)

We offer two mail shipping options to meet different needs. Our International Standard Mail Service (SMS) is the more budget friendly choice, ideal for families looking to save on delivery costs. This method has a transit time of 9-14 business days, and while it is dependable, it may not suit customers who need formula quickly.

For faster delivery, we recommend our International Express Mail Service (EMS) — our most popular option. Transit time is typically 5-10 business days, often arriving up to a week sooner than SMS, and for only a modest increase in cost (e.g. $4 more for a 3-pack). If timing is essential, EMS is the best way to ensure that your order arrives promptly.

Deliveries are made by USPS or Canada Post, or for other markets the domestic mail service of your country. Signature on delivery is a mandatory feature for EMS.
