  1. Sterilise the bottle, teat and ring in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Boil fresh water and cool it to 122°F / 50°C. Don't use microwaved, softened or repeatedly boiled water.
  3. Fill the bottle with about ⅔ of the water from the feeding chart below.
  4. Add the correct number of level scoops, 1 level scoop per 1 fl oz (30 ml) of water. Level off with a clean, dry knife; never pack the powder.
  5. Close and shake well (15+ seconds) until fully dissolved.
  6. Add the remaining water and shake lightly again.
  7. Cool under cold running water to 98.6°F / 37°C and always test on your wrist before feeding.
Water temperature safety note: WHO and NHS advise mixing powdered formula with water at 70°C (158°F) to kill bacteria such as Cronobacter, because powdered formula is not sterile. Some European probiotic formulas (such as HiPP and Holle) specify a lower temperature, around 50°C (122°F), to protect their live cultures, which is a deliberate manufacturer trade-off. Always follow the temperature printed on your can and your pediatrician's advice.
